Similarly, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has also declared it impossible to hold general elections in January.

It should be noted that the Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that the general elections in the country will be held in the last week of January 2024. and decided that after hearing the objections and suggestions on the preliminary constituencies, the final list of constituencies will be published on November 30, after which the elections will be held in the last week of January 2024 after a 54-day election program. will be given.

Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan had reduced the duration of the constituencies in consultation with the political parties and in the light of their views, and announced that the final publication of the constituencies will now be 30 days. By November 2023, even though the period of constituencies has been reduced, there will be a violation of the constitutional provision of holding elections within 90 days after the dissolution of the assemblies.
