According to PIA spokesperson CEO PIA has contacted the MD of PSO. After some time the flight will take off after fueling the aircraft. Pakistan State Oil (PSO) was given Rs 48 crore towards fuel dues on Thursday, the spokesperson said.

15 crores have been paid to PSO today as promised. Airline sources say that the PSO deliberately stops a flight carrying important personalities. The passengers of PK 309 include government figures, senior government officials and people from the corporate sector. According to sources, the PSO management is holding down important flights as a strategy to put pressure on PIA, which PSO claims owes PIA one billion rupees.
