The wanted accused's attempt to escape to Saudi Arabia on the pretext of Umrah failed, he was arrested from the airport

Karachi (Urdu Point Latest News. October 8, 2023) The Federal Investigation Agency foiled the escape attempt of the wanted suspect to Saudi Arabia on the pretext of Umrah. According to media reports, the Immigration Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested the accused wanted by the Punjab Police while going to Saudi Arabia on Umrah visa. The spokesperson of FIA said that the accused Abdullah Ahmed's name is included in the list of most wanted accused who was trying to escape from Karachi Airport on the pretext of paying Umrah, while the details of the accused came to light upon reaching the immigration counter.

It has been learned from the spokesperson that after the details of the accused were revealed, the FIA authorities arrested the passenger and handed him over to the Punjab Police. He was leaving Saudi Arabia when his escape attempt was foiled.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested 3 suspects wanted in serious crimes from Abu Dhabi in an operation in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. That these arrested accused were wanted by the Punjab Police, including Qamar Abbas, Mehtab Khan and Dost Ali.

It has been reported that accused Qamar Abbas was wanted by Gujarat police, accused Mehtab Khan and Dost Ali Bahawalnagar and Dera Ghazi Khan police, cases were registered against the arrested accused under the provisions of murder and robbery, based on which FIA NCB Interpol. Pakistan had issued red notices for the arrest of the accused, after the implementation of which the accused were transferred to Lahore and from there the FIA Immigration handed over the accused to the concerned police authorities.

In this regard, the spokesperson of FIA says that the extradition of the accused was possible due to the close coordination of Interpol Islamabad with Interpol Abu Dhabi, NCB Interpol Pakistan rendered valuable services to arrest the accused who fled abroad. NCB Interpol Pakistan is always working hard for the arrest and timely extradition of the most wanted accused.
