Flight operations for Saudi Arabia have been badly affected, passengers are facing difficulties:
Karachi (Urdu Point Latest News. October 1, 2023) The flight operation of Pakistan International Airlines for Saudi Arabia was badly affected. In the media reports, it has been found from the airline sources that the flight PK 859 from Karachi to Jeddah has been delayed for several hours. Could not, due to which passengers are facing difficulties, Flight PK 859 is likely to depart at 4:45 PM.
It has been learned from the sources that flight PK 742 coming from Jeddah to Karachi is delayed for more than 5 hours, similarly flight PK 301 coming from Islamabad to Karachi was also delayed for more than 3 hours. PIA flight PK 301 was scheduled to arrive in Karachi at 11:55 am, PK 742 was scheduled to arrive in Karachi from Jeddah at 11:30 am, which is expected to arrive at 3:45 am.
It is being told by the sources that the flight operation is affected due to the grounding of 5 Boeing 777 aircraft of PIA, the passengers protested due to the delay in the flights, during which the passengers also had a bitter conversation with the staff at the airport. Yesterday, after the fire incident in the Pakistan International Airlines plane in the coastal city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, all the passengers were shifted to the hotel where one passenger died due to cardiac arrest.
It has been reported that a fire occurred in the AP unit of flight PK 760 from Jeddah to Lahore when it was leaving for Pakistan, after which 275 passengers were transferred to a hotel while canceling the departure of the flight. Zakis Ahmed, a 31-year-old resident, was also staying in the hotel along with other passengers when he suddenly suffered a heart attack which proved fatal.
