Lahore (Urdu Point News Latest. 02 October 2023) Senior League leader Ahsan Iqbal has revealed that Faiz Hameed insisted on joining the Faizabad sit-in agreement. Speaking in the program of private TV channel Jews News, he said that in the dharna agreement, the then Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and I were not in favor of Faiz Hameed signing the agreement.
He revealed that Lieutenant General (Rtd) Faiz Hameed insisted on joining the 2017 Faizabad Dharna Agreement. Ahsan Iqbal said that Nawaz Sharif is coming to Pakistan on October 21, elections have been held in December and January in the past.
He said that he wants the election to be on time, in the past there has been a tradition that the election was held on Sunday, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi have their own opinion regarding the elections.
It should be noted that the written order for the hearing of the Yazabad dharna review case has been issued. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa Supreme Court issued a 4-page order for the hearing on September 28. The Attorney General said that the Ministry of Defense does not want to take further action on its revision petition.
Petitioner Sheikh Rasheed requested more time to appoint a new lawyer. Petitioner Ejaz-ul-Haq objected to paragraph number four of the decision. The question was raised that why the revision case was not scheduled for hearing despite the passage of a long time? Another question arose as to why separate petitions were filed together to withdraw the revision petitions. The third question is whether the decision of the constitutional and legal institutions to withdraw the review applications is independent. Fourth question whether Faizabad dharna case judgment was implemented, the written order said that in absence of some petitioners they are given another chance, some people said in public that they know what happened, These people said that the court did not consider their point of view in the Faizabad sit-in case.
Under paragraph 17 of the Faizabad sit-in judgment, this position is surprising to the court. The court had said in the decision that any affected party can submit their position in writing. The Attorney General said that Faizabad dharna was for a limited time. According to the Attorney General, the jurisdiction of the judgment should not be widened. All parties are being given another chance to present facts. According to the order of the Supreme Court, the further hearing of the Faizabad sit-in review case will be held on November 1.
