Lahore (Urdu Point latest news. September 22, 2023) Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq explained the inclusion of fast bowler Hasan Ali in the national squad for the ICC World Cup 2023. Ali has been included in the Pakistan squad in place of the injured Naseem Shah. Inzamam announced the team in a press conference and said that 'Naseem Shah unfortunately got injured and he is our main bowler.

Hasnain had an ankle operation, Ihsanullah had an elbow operation, due to injuries we were left with some options among fast bowlers. "Hasan Ali bowled well recently in the LPL and elsewhere," he added. He is experienced and has played well for Pakistan in major events before. After Naseem Shah got out we also needed a bowler who can bowl with the new ball and I think Hasan Ali is the best choice.

He also bowls well with the old ball and is a team man. He brings energy to the team. The fast bowler, who represented the Green Shirts in 2016, was last seen in action for Pakistan in the 50-over format in June 2022 in Multan.
