DURING THE WORLD CUP, WILL THERE BE SIX FOURS ON THE INDIAN PITCHES OR WILL THE BOWLERS RULE?

The International Cricket Council has issued new guidelines to reduce the impact of the toss in World Cup matches:

Lahore (Urdu Point Newspaper Latest. 20 September 2023) During the World Cup, will there be six fours on the Indian pitches or will the bowlers rule? ICC has issued special instructions. According to details, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has issued new guidelines to reduce the impact of the toss in the World Cup matches, in which it is said to leave more grass on the pitches to help the fast bowlers.

The Cricket World Cup 2023 will start from the 5th of next month in India, for which the preparations have reached the peak. According to Indian media reports, the ICC has issued some new instructions to the curators to reduce the effects of the toss in the matches. The report said that there are chances of dew in India during the tournament, so the ICC has directed the curators of all stadiums to leave more grass on the pitches to help the seamers.

It should be noted that earlier in the T20 World Cup in UAE in 2021 there was also dew, due to which the batting team benefited more. Indian pitches are generally more favorable for spinners, but the ICC has issued instructions to the curators to leave as much grass on the pitches as possible so that even the fast bowlers have a chance to stay in the game.

According to an Indian media report, ICC has suggested that the size of the boundary in the stadium should be larger to maintain the balance between batting and bowling, so for the World Cup matches, the stadiums should have a boundary size of around 70 meters. It has been said that the boundary size in international matches is minimum 65 meters and maximum 85 meters.
