Cases against Asif Zardari, Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Yousuf Raza Gilani will be reopened:

Islamabad (Urdu Point, latest newspaper. September 15, 2023) NAB cases of which political figures will be reopened after the Supreme Court's decision? The details have come out. According to media reports, the cases of a former president and 6 former prime ministers will be reopened after the decision of the Supreme Court to invalidate the NAB amendments. After the decision of the Supreme Court, the fake accounts case against former President Asif Zardari will be opened.

Cases will also be opened against former prime ministers Nawaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Yusuf Raza Gilani. Referring to the sources, it was said that the cases against Shahbaz Sharif, Raja Pervez Ashraf and Shaukat Aziz will also be reopened. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's LNG case will be transferred from the Special Judge Central back to the Accountability Court.

Tosha Khana case of Nawaz Sharif and Yusuf Raza Gilani will be transferred back to accountability court.

Apart from this, the asset reference against Ishaq Dar and the fake recruitment case of Sardar Mehtab will also be restored. Cases of other personalities including Abdul Ghani Majeed and Anwar Majeed will also be restored. It should be noted that the Supreme Court of Pakistan has invalidated the NAB amendments. The Supreme Court declared the petition of Chairman PTI Imran Khan admissible.

The court ruled on a majority basis, declaring several provisions of the NAB amendments unconstitutional. The Supreme Court declared in the decision that NAB should act according to the law under the prohibited clauses, the cases of all the people sitting in public positions were restored, but the amendments with assets more than the income will remain up to the extent of government officials. Ordered to send all the records to the concerned courts within seven days.
